How are the children screened and taken care of?
When the hospital releases the children, they are then brought to the House of Hope where they are met by a certified volunteer who will see to their needs until the relatives or foster parents arrive. Keep in mind the children are only in the House of Hope for a very short time, usually only several hours.

How many children can you take at a time?
Remember this is a short-term facility and the number of children is based upon how many are removed from a meth lab home at any given time. Recent case histories show numbers of children removed at any one time ranging from one child to as many as thirteen. We will make room for as many as are removed at any one time.
How many children per adult?
There is always a DCS worker present since the children are in state custody until their relatives or foster parent arrives.
